VAT (Value Added Tax) Clarifications and Guidance

European Union based companies can be exempt as long as their VAT registration number can be validated through the VIES (VAT Information Exchange System). This is an automated validation procedure upon registration / checkout. Recently, this procedure is erratic due to server issues at the VIES side. In case you face any difficulty or receive any errors whilst attempting to checkout, please email us and we will attempt to assist, by manually verifying and validating your company's VAT number, directly through the VIES website. If your company's VAT registration number cannot be verified, we will be obliged to charge VAT, without any exceptions.

Changes affecting the latest valid registered records Company Reports

Important Note: Dated 1st June 2011 onwards, all the latest valid registered records company reports will not include the date of birth and ID/Passport Number of all the individuals registered as directors / shareholders /secretary. This is due to a change in the Cyprus Companies Registry available data, in order to comply with Cyprus Data Protection guidelines. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to our clients, but it is totally outside our control.
The full history company registration reports will not be affected by the above, and will continue to include whatever information is listed in the actual company's file including any ID/Passport numbers, date of birth and Company registration numbers (where applicable & available) for director / shareholders / secretary.
Available Company Registration Reports & Differences

Cyprus-Data.com offers two types of Company registration reports for all companies registered in Cyprus (applicable for Ltd companies and not for PLC). The actual difference between the latest valid registration records report and a full history registration report can be reviewed below:
The latest valid records report is more or less like a snapshot of what is currently valid and registered in the specific company's file, and includes the following information: registration number, registration date, registered address, nominal and issued share capital, the shareholders and their number of shares, company directors, company secretary and whether there are any registered financial burdens. Important Note: Dated 1/6/2011 onwards, all latest valid registered records reports will not include the date of birth and ID/Passport Number of individual directors / shareholders /secretary, and neither registration number for Companies. who are listed as Directors / Shareholders /Secretary. This is due to a change in the local Companies Registry data flow.
The full history registration report includes all the above, plus the lawyer who registered the company, the address and name of the local management team who filed the last documents, and all (if any!) the registered changes since registration of the company until today, like for example; all the the appointments / resignations of company directors, transfer of shares, increase / decrease of share capital, change of registered address, change of company secretary, amendments to the Company's Memorandum, etc. You can download and compare sample reports here

Bank Transfer / Swift Payments Now Accepted

Following many requests by Cyprus-Data.com clients, (who requested to pay via bank transfer for volume orders for company registration reports), we are happy to announce today, that we will be also accepting Bank transfers (Swift) for processing your orders. If you want to order any service and pay via a Bank Transfer (Swift), this is possible either by using our existing online store and choosing at checkout to pay via Bank Transfer (this will have to be manually done from your end). Alternatively you can contact us via email with your specific requirements and we will Invoice manually. We will be able to process your order (either by existing online store or email) when we receive payment confirmation, and upon receiving your payment, we will then be able to process your order ASAP.
If you prefer to use bank transfer to pay for any order, it is important to know that there will be delays until we actually receive your payment and thus our normal delivery times for reports in 24-48hrs are valid only after we receive the funds in our bank account. For faster processing, we strongly recommend to email or fax copy of the swift / bank transfers, and to clearly state the Invoice Number on the Bank transfer instructions.
